THE HISTORY

It was 1955 when Lorenzo IGLINA founded O.M.A.R. in a small basement in Savona. After a few years, the company would take the name of the founder, IGLINA ELEVATORS.

It was time of economy boom even in the construction sector  and together with the BONFEDI group, from which it will separate in 1975, IGLINA ELEVATORS expanded throughout western Liguria.

In 1985, the founder suddenly passed away, but the company continued under the guidance of his sons.

It was 1996 and driven by the impulse to improve, the IGLINA Family initiated a series of winning moves: they expanded into the naval area and purchased a new location, equipped with more space and the most modern technologies.

During the years between 2000 and 2006, the IGLINA Family wanted to further expand, and through the large and more and more dynamic systems park, the value of the services has increased, with the creation of:

  • a technical service constantly monitored by a Supervisor who checks the several area technicians and work teams;
  • an after-sales/administrative service constantly monitored by the Sales Manager who, together with the Supervisor and the Administrative department, serves as a bridge and connection with our Customers;
  • the Marine DPT which regularly manages and monitors the assistance service, the certification and the works in the naval area.

In 2017, the spaces were further expanded by purchasing yet another unit to implement the square meters of goods warehouse storage.

Strengthened by the collaboration and satisfaction of the customers in the marine area, in 2025 the company further expanded by signing a deal with one of the main Chinese shipbuilders. The collaboration includes the supervision of the warranty service on new technology ships leaving their shipyards towards the whole world.

This proves the great work and dedication that the company has boasted for over 70 years.
